Purpose of this Policy

This policy explains how BASAibu Wiki manages content shared by our users, including how we make it available for viewing, how we license it, and the limits and protections against misuse. BASAibu Wiki is rooted in openness, ethics, and empowerment. Our approach reflects these values and combines openness with accountability to safeguard community voices and digital wellbeing.

What is “Public Content”?

Public Content on BASAibu Wiki Platforms is publicly viewable on the internet. This means that anyone may access and read Public Content on the BASAibu Wiki platforms, but it does not mean that anyone may reuse it without permission.

When you create and submit Public Content on any BASAibu Wiki Platform, you choose and agree to:

  1. make your contributed Public Content publicly viewable on BASAibu Wiki platforms; and
  2. acknowledge that copyright in the Public Content, as published and managed by BASAibu Wiki, remains with BASAibu, subject to any applicable third-party rights and any separate written agreement we may enter into with you.

If you do not want your contributed Public Content to be publicly viewable, you may:

  1. delete or request deletion of a post or comment; or
  2.  request deactivation of your account.

What we never share

BASAibu Wiki never licenses or discloses the following information: contact details, collectively known as Private User Information. Private User Information is always kept secure and separate from Public Content. We will not share Private User Information unless legally compelled to do so.

How Public Content may be used and licensed

All use of Public Content requires prior written permission from BASAibu Wiki. No person or organization may use Public Content for personal, research, editorial, educational, commercial, AI training, or any other purpose unless BASAibu Wiki has first granted written permission.

Requests for personal use will generally be considered favorably and may be approved at no cost or low cost, but written permission is still required before any use.

For any commercial, research, editorial, educational, AI, or other organizational use of Public Content, users must obtain a written licensing arrangement with BASAibu Wiki before use.

We may approve permissions and licensing arrangements for Public Content in order to maintain an open, sustainable, and responsible ecosystem built on the BASAibu Wiki Platforms. These arrangements allow us to:

  1. place enforceable limits on data use to protect privacy;
  2. maintain oversight over data access;
  3. generate revenue that supports BASAibu Wiki’s mission; and
  4. work transparently with trusted partners in education, AI, media, and cultural innovation.

Our licensees may include:

  1. researchers and civic educators who work to better humanity;
  2. technology or AI organizations that share our values of responsible data collection; and
  3. community and media partners.

Safeguards for data licensing arrangements

Protecting our users’ rights in all data licensing relationships is essential. Any licensing arrangement BASAibu Wiki enters into includes strict requirements and restrictions on how licensees use data that we hold, including Public Content.

For example, Licensees cannot:

  1. use Public Content that has been deleted or edited by BASAibu Wiki or one of our users;
  2. use Public Content in connection with accessing, generating, or displaying explicit, violent, or exploitative material;
  3. use any data from or about BASAibu Wiki or its users to identify or profile BASAibu Wiki users;
  4. combine data from or about BASAibu Wiki or its users with other data sources for advertising, targeting, or profiling;
  5. use BASAibu Wiki data to support surveillance, law enforcement tracking, or political manipulation; or
  6. use Public Content in connection with any conduct that involves harassment, spam, or unethical or deceptive behavior.
